Permanent Antique Collection
Since 1977, the village has collected objects that represent past generations, their traditions, and their know-how. These artifacts document more than a century of our history. The Village manages this impressive collection by keeping an inventory that meets the criteria specified in its acquisition policy. Through a series of acquisitions, donations, and loans for use, the Village now showcases over 20,000 historical objects dating from 1810 to 1930.
*We reserve the right to refuse donations that do not meet our needs or do not correspond to the Village’s historical period. Furthermore, we reserve the right to dispose of the items we own at our discretion in the best interests of the Village, including ensuring its financial viability.
Sale of Items Belonging to the Village Québécois d’Antan
Over the years, the Village Québécois d’Antan’s antique collection has expanded considerably. Thus, we occasionally sell specific items because of a lack of space, excess inventory, numerous duplicates, or the non-representativeness of the historical period covered. If you are looking for specific objects, you can contact Mr. Claude Tessier by phone at 819 478-1441 or 1 877 710-0267, ext. 240, or by email at [email protected].
